At the root of every great song is power- a vital element in the composition that naturally seizes the emotions of the listener and takes them on a journey.  Minutes later, the sounds may have stopped, but the melody continues floating through minds, rests among memories and creates a feeling. Whether that feeling be freedom, remorse, hope or ecstasy, it takes a great storyteller to be able to make that happen.  Someone who lives life with a no-holds barred attitude, has experienced the bad with the good and owns the gift to relate the journeys he has been on with anyone and everyone who will listen.  In other words, Jay Della Valle.

A few months ago - the new video embarked on a promotional campaign- and since then the little sucker has been really whoring itself out. Look for "Legs So Long It's Crazy" on The California Music Channel, Screenplay, Vid Dream, Power Play Music TV, The Groove Zone, Get Reel Music Mix, and soon to be available at Fuse On Demand in September. I haven't heard of most of these- but it's good to know we're getting some action packed sass out of this sweety.

If you live in LA, come see me on Monday June 29. I'll be playing solo acoustic at Hotel Cafe- sharing some new songs, hanging with old friends, and drinky moldy cocktails. This is how I handle my affairs. Love ya.

Finally we're shooting our first video. It will be for the song "Legs So Long It's Crazy." We're shooting in mid-march-so it should be done in April sometime. It's gonna be slightly disturbing in a a warm fuzzy whip your ass kind of way. 

Our Stache Bash 2009 Tour Schedule is pretty much locked down for April. Can't wait to stache it up all over the place!

Della Valle will be featured on Fox 5 Fearless Music TV special sometime in March. We shot 4 songs- 1 will go on TV. Hopefully not the one where I'm picking my nose.

Last night we took down the legendary "Pony." 105.7 The Hawk, a South Jersey Classic Rock Station, broadcasted live and someone said they played the whole set on the radio. In other words, widespread mustache amplification. I was once told that the sound of my voice alone made people want to start growing a mustache. A tried and true Jersey boy, I've always wanted to play at "The Stone Pony." So I guess I can check that one off my list of things to do in life.

I finished recording 3 new songs this summer. Instead of waiting to record more and releasing a fat pile of music on the already overwhelmed music listening masses- I'm keeping it simple. I'll release each song individually on Myspace and to the DV Mailing List. I plan to start doing this while everyone is sleeping some night in the near future- that way it's a little more mysterious.
